In my opinion, Google Drive is an excellent alternative to iCloud, especially if you're already familiar with Google's ecosystem. It provides reliable storage and collaboration tools, and I find its interface more intuitive and flexible compared to iCloud.
OneDrive
OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud storage solution. It's deeply integrated with Windows 10 and Office 365, making it an excellent choice for those who frequently use Microsoft products. OneDrive offers 5GB of free storage. You can use it to back up files, share documents with others, and even collaborate on Office documents in real time. For example, you can work on a PowerPoint presentation with your team members simultaneously.
Dropbox

As an Apple device user, I find iCloud to be a great alternative to Google Drive. One of the main reasons is its seamless integration with all Apple devices. This means that any changes I make on one device are automatically synced across all my other devices.
iCloud also offers a feature called Family Sharing, which allows up to six people to share purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books, an iCloud storage plan, and more—all without sharing accounts. This is not available with Google Drive.
Moreover, iCloud provides better privacy protection compared to Google Drive. Apple uses end-to-end encryption for data like photos, messages, and even documents stored in iCloud drive. This means that only I can access my data and nobody else—not even Apple.
What are the differences between Google Drive and iCloud?
I use both iCloud and Google Drive for different objectives. iCloud, a cloud storage service from Apple, is designed to work seamlessly with Apple devices.
