Best for:
Small businesses, freelancers, or scaling teams that need more advanced workflow automation and a higher volume of video interactions
While the "Grow" plan represents the point at which VideoAsk transitions from a simple tool to a comprehensive, operational component of your business process; this is where the "sweet-spot" of small- to mid-size business ("SMB") and/or departmental teams exists who are beginning to generate sufficient volume and need to integrate video into an operational context. As a result of a very large increase in the number of monthly video minutes required for user engagement at higher levels of use, there are also significant numbers of integrations made available through APIs, WebHooks, and the metrics-based tracking that allows you to assess performance on a more objective basis. In addition to additional users being able to be added to the system, this plan makes VideoAsk a viable option for many different departments within a single organization. Therefore, if your video strategy has moved beyond simply capturing responses and now requires driving lead qualification, providing advanced customer service, and/or conducting sophisticated, branched surveys, then Grow is the minimum threshold you will need to exceed in order to take advantage of serious automation and professional use.

Best for:
Marketing departments or established companies that require complete control over the user experience, professional volume, and total white-label branding
As an experienced marketing executive, or as part of a larger organization, the Brand Plan will be mandatory , it is about being responsible for all aspects of branding and professionalism. It is not simply going to provide some additional levels of permission for increased usage , the Brand Plan will provide the complete "white glove" treatment. The most important aspect of the Brand Plan is the domain white labeling feature, which removes all references to VideoAsk from your domain , ultimately providing a completely proprietary and branded experience to your target audience. As far as the value of establishing credibility with your customers and maintaining consistent branding, this one feature alone may justify the cost of the Brand Plan. In addition to having the ability to create a proprietary experience, the Brand Plan provides priority support (which is especially important when you have high volume traffic and/or multiple campaigns) and the top tiered minute levels, which is ideal for large and/or global campaigns where there are high volumes of potential customers viewing your content. Ultimately, if you want to utilize VideoAsk at scale for capturing high-quality leads and/or you need to consistently present your brand in the best light through all touch points with your customers, then the Brand Plan has been created to ensure the technology disappears and your brand shines.
Main features
Domain white labeling

Best for:
Individuals or small teams just beginning to use interactive video and needing all the essential features to get a conversation flowing with a limited audience
If you are starting with Interactive Video or looking at an inexpensive low-volume project the Start plan is a great place to start. Think of it as an essentials kit, you will receive all of the core elements that drive user engagement (conditional logic allows for a personalized experience and scheduling meetings or collecting payments via Stripe) for a very competitive price. The limitations here are mostly around volume; The video minute allowance is relatively small and there is no option to remove the VideoAsk branding. For a solo entrepreneur, side project, or small team validating the concept prior to a large investment, the Start plan provides everything necessary to validate the ROI of video-based conversations with little risk. In my opinion, the Start plan is a great starting point.
Main features
Conditional logic
Payment collection (Stripe)
Appointment scheduling
VideoAsk's Start and Grow plans differ in two major areas when comparing them as more than just a price jump - when comparing them as fundamentally different from a basic testing tool versus a full-on growth engine. The Start plan works well for all your most basic, most structured types of interaction - it provides you with the core features that allow you to collect payments, schedule appointments and include conditional logic - and is absolutely enough to validate a concept. But there are many ways in which the Start plan is limited: by the fact that there is such a very low monthly limit on how many video minutes you can take, and by the fact that you can only have up to three steps in each of your videoasks.
But once your use case goes from simply qualifying a lead to using video to perform a complex workflow, then you will find that the Grow plan is what you need. The Grow plan offers an enormous increase over the Start plan in terms of volume - it has a huge increase in the number of video minutes you can record each month - but it is really the additional features that allow you to truly automate video that make this plan so much better. With the Grow plan, you will get API and Webhook capabilities - and this allows you to integrate VideoAsk directly into your CRM and/or marketing automation software (no more relying on Zapier).
We think that having unlimited steps per videoask, along with features like respondent tracking and custom variables, transform the way you qualify leads or conduct detailed asynchronous interviews. In other words, they turn the experience from a somewhat limited survey experience into a complex, personalizable conversation tree. We believe that the Grow plan is right for any small business or scaling team that wants video to be a seamless, data-rich part of its day-to-day operations. Any less would feel like you're always holding back on your potential.
You are going to be deciding whether or not to go with the Grow and Brand pricing plans based on how much power and professional immersion you want from your platform. The Grow plan is the most functional and will help you make serious progress in your workflow , you’ll have access to the APIs, webhooks and team collaboration tools necessary to run a high-volume, automated process. We consider the Grow plan the “operational powerhouse”. You’ve reduced the amount of VideoAsk branding; however, it is still visible.
The Brand plan represents a fundamental paradigm shift from operating as a separate entity to being responsible for the customer experience. The single largest differentiator , and one we feel is most important for large-scale marketing initiatives , is Domain White Labeling. With this feature, you can host the videoasks on your own sub domain , it’s not just about putting your logo on the form; it’s about having your URL as well. Having your URL on the form makes the technology disappear to the end user, and this level of brand consistency is critical to enterprise and agency environments.
While the aesthetic benefits of the Brand plan are significant, it also brings the AI chatbot, and priority support to the table, both of which indicate a commitment to scale not only the videoask interaction, but the entire customer service structure. In our view, if your ultimate goal is to totally embed this into an enterprise ecosystem, where trust and brand consistency are paramount, the Brand plan is the only viable option. You’re paying for control, maximum volume levels and peace of mind knowing that everything will look, act and behave 100% like your company. That’s the difference between a great tool and an entirely customized solution.
If you're just starting out (and/or validating whether using interactive video will work with your target audience), then the start plan would be a good fit. The Start plan provides all of the basic tools you need to create a simple interactive video campaign that includes conditional logic, appointment booking, etc., to allow you to test the concept before committing to a larger plan. However, if you find success, and/or grow to the point where you exceed the minimum video minute limit, you'll have to remove VideoAsk's branding from your videos.
If you've already proven the effectiveness of using VideoAsk for your business, and now want to scale your usage of VideoAsk, as a serious operational tool, we believe the Grow plan will provide the greatest value for money. As such, you'll be able to access the API/webhook layer that enables you to automate the process of pushing data into your CRM (customer relationship management) system. Additionally, since this plan removes the artificial conversation limits placed by the lower plans, you'll have a scalable platform for your growing team.
If you're looking to deploy VideoAsk as part of a large-scale operational solution, and/or brand integrity is critical to your business, then you'll want to look at the Brand plan. While both the Grow and Brand plans include virtually identical feature sets, the key difference between them is control. The Brand plan is the only plan that includes Domain White Labeling, which allows you to eliminate the VideoAsk brand identity entirely, so you can fully own the URL experience. If you're looking for premium support, and/or high-capacity tiers, this is the only plan that will meet those needs. Ultimately, it is an investment in delivering a professional user experience.
Whether VideoAsk is better than Loom depends on your specific needs and objectives. VideoAsk excels in scenarios where interaction and engagement with an external audience are crucial. It allows for personalized video experiences that can collect feedback and conduct surveys, making it ideal for marketing, customer support, and lead generation.
Conversely, Loom is better suited for internal communication, providing a simple and efficient way to create screen recordings and video messages for team collaboration, training, and updates. If your focus is on creating interactive content for external use, VideoAsk might be the superior choice. For straightforward internal communication, Loom is likely more appropriate.
VideoAsk vs Loom
When examining alternative tools to VideoAsk, the core differentiator is the two-way, asynchronous conversation flow. If you need hyper-efficient, one-way communication, the landscape shifts. Loom’s lightning-fast screen recording utility makes it the default choice for internal team alignment, support demos, and replacing quick meetings across time zones.
However, if your focus is external marketing and revenue, Vidyard’s comprehensive sales enablement platform offers deep analytics, in-video CTAs, and powerful CRM integrations, making it ideal for tracking prospect engagement.
And for those prioritizing rapid, scalable content creation over human presence, Synthesia’s AI avatar video generation offers a compelling way to produce training or marketing videos in dozens of languages without ever stepping in front of a camera.
While VideoAsk creates dynamic Q&A, these alternatives solve specific challenges related to speed, sales tracking, and scalable content production.

Yes VideoAsk does offer a Free Plan, but we feel this is much better than a typical “Free Trial” as the Free Plan will continue forever (VideoAsk calls their Free Plan “Start”).
This free forever plan has been one of the most attractive features in our eyes of the numerous SaaS offerings in the market today. The “Free Forever” plan provides an ideal method to familiarize yourself with VideoAsk's technology and discover how the use of video can improve the interaction between you and your customers. In our view, there is no barrier or friction when trying new technology such as VideoAsk since you can create a video immediately after signing up and begin to build a video and interact with your customers within minutes.
As well, in our opinion, a great product that includes a free version of its service demonstrates confidence in the product and in the ability of users to successfully utilize its features. With VideoAsk’s “Free Forever” plan, you are able to test many of the advanced features of VideoAsk including conditional logic and appointment scheduling at no cost. This will allow you to focus on creating the best possible message and flow of interactions for your target audience, allowing for maximum effectiveness.
The main limits on this free plan are based on volume, branding and how much flow can be added to a survey/videoask.
The first limit you will find is in the amount of time (in minutes) you can use to process video content with respondents' answers. I have found that the average limit on this is approximately 20 total minutes of video content/processing per month. Based upon my own experience, that is extremely limiting - it means you cannot run a continuous campaign with the free plan at all.
In addition to processing limits, there is also an architectural limitation in the number of steps you can create in a videoask. With the free plan, you are limited to creating only three steps in a single video ask - while this may be sufficient for simple lead qualification, it does not allow for complex lead qualification, nor any sort of deep branching logic, which would make it impossible to create more than three questions that depend on previous answers.
Finally, the VideoAsk branding will be prominently displayed throughout each videoask. While having a professional appearance and consistent branding across multiple tools is important, if this is something that is important to you, then upgrading from the free plan will be necessary.
I view the free plan as a great way to test the waters - it allows for learning the inner workings of VideoAsk without risk - but once you decide to actually run a deployment of it for a business function, I believe you should look to move to the "Grow" tier.

“We started on the free Start plan just to test the waters, and even that basic functionality proved the concept immediately. When we realized how many hours the conditional logic saved our sales team in pre-qualification, upgrading to Grow was an easy decision. The monthly cost of the Grow plan is completely justified by the sheer number of highly qualified leads we now pass through our funnel. It pays for itself several times over, frankly. The value proposition is spot on for scaling teams who need automation.”
Sarah O'Connell
“As an agency, we need powerful tools that don't surprise us with hidden costs. While we initially worried about the minute-based pricing, we found that once we moved to the annual Grow plan, the cost became incredibly predictable and manageable. The discount for annual billing is substantial, and the inclusion of APIs and Webhooks in that tier is the killer feature. It allows us to integrate the video data directly into our clients' systems, providing huge ROI for them. It’s a transparent pricing model that rewards commitment, and we appreciate that approach to high-value software.”
Marcus Ellington
“When you are operating at an enterprise level, you simply cannot afford branding inconsistencies. That’s why the investment in the Brand tier, despite the higher sticker price, has been completely worth it for our department. That premium cost isn’t just buying us more video minutes; it's buying us complete domain white-labeling. This means every customer interaction lives under our domain, maintaining 100% trust and professionalism, which is invaluable for our CX initiatives.”
What pricing tiers does VideoAsk offer?
Videoask's Start plan is the first level in this pricing structure , it is the forever-free level, the sandbox. The key reason we advocate for using a forever-free trial for any company is to validate how well the core aspects of the product (in this case, conditional logic and payment collection) function without committing to a purchase.
Grow is the next step after Start , it is what we usually recommend for all small to mid-size businesses looking to leverage video as part of their operations. The Grow level has much higher video processing limits than Start, and most importantly, it opens up integration tools like API’s and Webhook , which enables you to hook VideoAsk directly into your CRM. Grow is where VideoAsk transitions from being “a cool feature” to an essential piece of business automation.
Brand is the final level , it is directed at large organizations and/or agencies that require complete control over their brand identity. While the volume of videos processed by VideoAsk under the Brand level is greater than both Start and Grow, the true value of the Brand level is Domain White Labeling , removing the VideoAsk branding entirely. If your customers need to interact with your company in a seamless, proprietary way, then you will need to use the Brand level. Finally, there is an Enterprise pricing tier for VideoAsk , however, this is only available to organizations that meet extremely high volume and have unique requirements such as enhanced security.
What advantages does VideoAsk offer?
About the benefits of VideoAsk, in essence, the product's unique value is the humanization of automation. The company has taken the transactional, and often cold, nature of traditional forms and turned those into a real-time, asynchronous conversation, which is extremely effective at engaging audiences.
An authentic boost is perhaps the most obvious benefit of using VideoAsk. Using video or audio to ask and receive responses builds almost instant trust and a deeper relationship with your target audience then would be possible by using a simple text box. The “human factor” greatly enhances the completion rate for tasks such as lead qualification, testimonials, and customer feedback. There are documented reports showing that engagement rates are typically 300% greater than those from traditional methods, providing an enormous competitive advantage.
Additionally, VideoAsk provides a scalable form of personalization. One video is recorded and through conditional logic, the conversation will adapt and expand based upon the respondents’ input. Therefore, hundreds/thousands of individuals can have a unique, customized experience, while still allowing for large scale automation, without the need for you to be physically present during each interaction. In our view, the blend of high touch, personalized interaction, and high volume automation is what gives VideoAsk an extraordinary status as a fundamental tool for any sales, marketing, or HR funnel in today’s digital environment. It is all about creating better, more accurate data faster.
Who benefits most from using VideoAsk?
There are three major groups that benefit the most when using VideoAsk. Each group's primary focus is how much value they place on creating a human connection at scale.
The first group includes Marketing and Sales Teams. Most traditional forms of communication lack personalization and have very low conversion rates. VideoAsk allows Sales teams to use the face-to-face aspect of video in order to pre-qualify leads, and Marketing teams to create funnels of branched journeys that will significantly increase conversions. One CEO told us that they utilize it as a "trust-builder" in order to obtain qualified leads quickly from cold audiences.
The second group consists of Recruiters and HR departments. The use of video screening and asynchronous video interviewing is a complete game changer for them. This has greatly streamlined the initial candidate vetting process, and saved recruiters and HR professionals countless hours of scheduling, while also allowing them to provide a warm and personalized experience for candidates. We believe this is one of the most underused applications of the platform.
Lastly, Agencies and consultants that have multiple clients (and therefore, multiple brands) benefit greatly by utilizing the Brand Plan feature to brand their solutions as totally proprietary to each client. With the Brand Plan feature, agencies and consultants are able to offer premium, high touch solutions for testimonials, complex intake forms, and client onboarding. We believe that anyone who relies heavily on establishing a quick rapport with clients, without having to make continuous live video calls, would benefit the most from this platform.
Is subscribing to VideoAsk worth the investment?
If you are only using the basic free VideoAsk model, we believe that ROI will likely be minimal due to the limitations placed by both minute and step restrictions. To get the most out of VideoAsk in terms of potential revenue generation, you need to invest in one of the premium levels (Grow or Brand), which offer API/webhook integration.
The main benefit of investing in a premium VideoAsk level is that it offers automation and efficiency. For example, when you create a video ask on the Grow level, the video ask will immediately qualify a lead based on their answers and then automatically transfer that lead (with all tags applied) to your CRM. This saves a tremendous amount of time for your sales teams who would otherwise either manually screen each lead prior to calling or spend too much time on low quality calls.
Based on this analysis, if you're going to use VideoAsk to make the time spent on cold calling less or improve the conversion rates on your landing pages or automate other high volume tasks such as candidate screening; then, based on our analysis, the subscription costs of VideoAsk are completely justified. We suggest viewing these costs as investments in increased lead engagement and more efficient lead qualification, not just expenses for tools. As long as VideoAsk generates a handful of new leads with high potential value that would not have been generated otherwise; the subscription costs will pay for themselves very quickly.
Which VideoAsk subscription plan do most users choose?
The Videoask Grow plan is the most commonly selected paid subscription option for VideoAsk users. What makes the Grow plan so attractive? Because the Grow plan is the lowest level at which one can create significant, scalable processes. While the Free Start plan is good for testing, the limited number of minutes allowed and the 3 step limitation severely hinders any form of true operations use.
The Grow plan unlocks the full potential of the automation capabilities. With the Grow plan you are able to have unlimited steps for complex conditional logic, along with the critical API and Webhook functionality for integration with other tools and applications, and a huge increase in the amount of time for video. I believe that the Grow plan strikes an ideal balance for most SMBs, providing the necessary robustness to automatically generate conversions and sales qualification while avoiding the high-end costs associated with the white label branding included within the Brand tier. If you're going past testing, then the Grow plan should be considered as your baseline. That's when the investment will start producing actionable return on investment (ROI).
What are the best practices to maximize value from a VideoAsk subscription?
Maximizing value from any SaaS subscription, including VideoAsk, is the key to a strong ROI. It's not just about features; it’s about smart usage habits. In our opinion, the best way to ensure your VideoAsk spend is truly worthwhile is by treating it as a productivity engine, not just a video tool. We recommend focusing on efficiency and cost structure optimization. Here are a few core best practices we see the most successful users employing:
What happens if I go over my video limit on VideoAsk?
Hitting your video minute limit on VideoAsk is a very real possibility once your campaigns start getting traction, and what happens next depends heavily on which plan you’re on.
We've observed that VideoAsk, like many platforms, needs to protect its infrastructure costs, so exceeding your allowance has a couple of different effects. We think it’s important to monitor this closely to avoid service disruption:
