The fundamental difference between Pipedrive and Copper lies in their objective of optimization. Pipedrive focuses on sales execution; deals should be moving from one stage to another, reps are logging activities and managers are getting a clean and defendable picture of both forecast and pipeline health. For larger teams, the idea of making next-step hygiene harder to ignore is crucial for most teams (beyond a few sellers).
In contrast, Copper focuses on adoption and relationship context. In many organizations, the CRM has failed because the system was simply too heavy for how people were working and therefore data became stale and reporting became unreliable and ultimately the CRM became an option. Copper provides the value of being able to make a CRM feel more like a natural place to store customer context as opposed to a compliance tool, particularly for teams selling via relationships versus using a rigid SDR to AE production line. Pipedrive does not provide a free version but...

Administrative Teams
Copper is suitable for administrative teams as it significantly cuts down on data entry tasks, allowing for more frequent communication with prospects. It automatically adds emails to the system, saving time, and pulls contact information from the internet, reducing workload
Sales Teams
Copper is suitable for sales teams due to its ability to generate leads, track all communication, and provide real-time updates on new leads. It also offers real-time reports, allowing sales teams to break down won and lost revenue and account for projected sales revenue based on opportunities in the pipeline
Customer Service Teams
Copper is beneficial for customer service teams as it allows for effective lead and pipeline management, boosting closed business. It also offers automation of lead management, although it may lack in its ability to integrate with other software
Small Businesses
Copper is ideal for small businesses as it offers a robust, affordable solution to growing CRM needs. It is capable of meeting the evolving needs of a business, often through regular updates, and offers full functionality with Google Workspace plug-in
Individual Users
Copper is useful for individual users as it syncs with Gmail and automatically adds a year's worth of communication to contacts. It streamlines the process of tracking leads and opportunities, as well as their stages, and adds to-do items to the calendar, ensuring daily tasks are not forgotten. However, it may be pricey for a single user.

Makes My Work Simpler
This app assists me in organizing my work week, planning my days, and logging all activities for each client, ensuring I stay on top of my tasks. It provides immediate access to all client-related work, allows me to track the last contact date, and offers reminders to follow up on unresponded emails.

Unlocking Business Potential with Copper: A Time-Saving CRM Solution
Copper has significantly cut down on my administrative data entry tasks, allowing my team and I to communicate more frequently with prospects and consequently bring in more business. It has been a great help in reducing the time we spend on updating our CRM systems. Before, we had to manually add all emails to the system, but Copper does this automatically, saving us a lot of time. It also pulls contact information from the internet, further reducing our workload. One of my favorite features is being able to view the contact file in Gmail when an email from that person arrives. However, I wish there was more flexibility when adding notes in Copper, like changing the font color or highlighting text. Also, it doesn't allow adding duplicate emails to multiple files when an individual is associated with more than one company. We switched to Copper from ACT, and if you've ever used ACT, you'll understand why. I appreciated the vendor's response to our feedback in February 2020.

5-Star Experience with Copper: A Game-Changer for My Business
I would give Copper a 5-star rating if I could! They provided me with a system that delivers beyond my expectations. They offer a monthly subscription, but they conveniently bill annually, which is a great way to save some money. It was clear from the get-go that this was the perfect CRM for me. Their customer service is unique; you can reach them via email or their chat box, which I find very modern and efficient. I've been using this product for 2 months now and it's been a game-changer for my business. They were clear about the annual contract, which I appreciate as it gives me a sense of commitment and stability. They are a forward-thinking company with strong ethics. Now, I'm equipped with a system I can fully utilize and a fantastic system that performs exactly as they said it would. My only option now is to continue enjoying their services. Copper is truly remarkable!

Basic CRM with Limited Workflow Automation: Consider Other Options!
We use Copper CRM exclusively for our sales team. Our mobile app and website generate leads that go into Copper, where our sales team can qualify and track all communication. Copper solves key problems for us with its integration with Slack and its mobile app, providing real-time updates on new leads. Its integration with G Suite is also beneficial as it tracks all communication with each lead. Technically, Copper's robust API allows us to connect our mobile app attribution platform, Slack, PostgreSQL, and Intercom chatbot. One of Copper's main advantages is its real-time reports. We can break down won and lost revenue among our sales team and account for projected sales revenue based on opportunities in the pipeline and their expected close rate. Copper's automated actions help us move leads through pipelines effectively. We set automated reminders and tasks for opportunities based on their pipeline stage. These reminders and tasks are emailed and sent as push notifications to each lead.

Unrivalled CRM Solution Seamlessly Integrated with Google Workspace
As a small business, we have been using Copper for the past 2-3 years and are extremely satisfied with both the CRM product and the support team. As our business grows, so do our CRM needs, and Copper has consistently met these needs, often through regular updates. It feels like Copper is intuitively developing exactly what we need before we even ask for it. We appreciate their attentiveness to their clients and their efforts to develop their product to suit our needs, which is why we committed to a 5-year agreement with them. We love the full functionality of the Google Workspace plug-in, including Gmail and Calendar, and the ability to pull a list view of Opportunities, Leads, etc., and update individual records without leaving the screen, which saves us a lot of time. However, the import function could use some improvement in managing duplicates and adding/overwriting tags. We chose Copper because it was a robust, affordable solution to our growing CRM needs, without the development cost.

Copper CRM: The Unremarkable Middle Child
I find the Copper software unimpressive and extremely limited, lacking flexibility. I wouldn't have considered using it if not for a client's insistence. The only positives are its low cost and Google integration.
