01 Is Surfshark any Good? My expert Review
In general, my experience with Surfshark as a whole has been very good for almost eight months now. A major reason I chose Surfshark is because of its limitless number of devices at no additional charge; it has allowed me to run Surfshark on all of my family's devices (laptop, smartphone, tablet, and smart TV) at a fraction of what other companies would have charged for these same capabilities.
My experience with speed has been extremely good. I consistently watch U.S.-based Netflix 4k content when I am in Europe, and it typically does not buffer. In addition, while I was visiting Turkey and the UAE, I easily bypassed local restrictions by utilizing Surfshark's servers and only needed to make a couple of adjustments to get it working properly.
Clean Web has been helpful in removing ads and tracking data from my web browsing experience, which makes browsing faster and more enjoyable. However, I have had a few issues. On occasion, I will see that a server is overloaded due to high usage and the speed will slow down. Although, I have found the kill switch to be effective, I have experienced an instance where the kill switch failed and for a short period of time, revealed my true IP address, which was a concern.
Also, some of the streaming services such as BBC iPlayer can be spotty, I have to experiment with several of the UK servers to find the one that will allow me to access the service. Overall, for the price and the extended contracts available, I believe Surfshark provides an exceptional value. While it is not the fastest VPN available, I feel Surfshark does a good job of balancing affordability, features, and performance.
