Experiences and Lessons from Using Campaigner by Protus

I've been using Campaigner by Protus for a couple of years now and I was so impressed with their service that I decided to prepay for a year to take advantage of an 18% discount. I made a payment of $2,952 in January 219. The following month, I noticed a few delivery issues with Gmail and a slight dip in open rates. But, I was not deterred. I reached out to my account rep and tech support, who were always ready to help. They suggested three different workarounds, which I found to be proactive and solution-oriented. Although I still experienced some delivery issues, I appreciated their efforts to resolve the problem.When I contacted Campaigner to discuss the possibility of a refund for the unused months, they reminded me of the no-refund policy under the prepaid contract. I understood their position and respected their adherence to the policy. In response, I reversed the charge and they promptly blocked my account. They disputed the charge and have not reopened my account or contacted me since. This experience taught me the importance of understanding the terms and conditions before making a commitment.Despite this, I would still recommend others to try out their larger plans. I would suggest staying on a month-to-month basis to see how it works for you. Remember, every service has its ups and downs, and it's all about finding what works best for you. One thing I must commend is their tech support response time. It typically took about 5-7 days for them to respond to emails, which I found to be reasonable considering the complexity of the issues. Overall, my experience with Campaigner has been a learning curve and I'm excited to see how they evolve in the future.

Admiring the Editing Feature

Initially, I found Campaigner not very intuitive, but their customer support was always available to assist me. I appreciate the ease of the editing feature, which allows me to preview my campaign and check the links. However, I wish there was a way for me to know how many emails I am sending at the moment I send it, as I select from multiple lists for each campaign. We are limited to 100,000 emails per month, so I usually do two campaigns of 50,000. This feature would be helpful. We switched to Campaigner not by choice, but because I believe Stream Send sold our account to them.

Efficient Tool with Exceptional Customer Support

I am managing a COVID-19 responsive loan program for small businesses and nonprofits that were overlooked by other funding programs. It was vital to quickly inform interested organizations. However, our initial message was marked as spam by a competitor due to terms like 'loan', 'get capital quickly', etc. We were overwhelmed with calls from organizations seeking this information and had no idea how to fix this issue. Campaigner simplified the process of setting up our messages, customizing segments for different audiences, and rapidly spreading the word. Their customer service team was a pleasure to work with, being responsive, helpful, and friendly. Although the user interface wasn't instantly intuitive, their customer service team and supportive knowledge base made it easy to achieve our objectives. We opted for Campaigner because MailChimp flagged some of the keywords crucial to our work as spam traits and provided no solution to the problem. Campaigner: A Mediocre Choice for Email Marketing

I used Campaigner for one of my e-commerce clients. At first, it was good but I eventually switched to Listrak because it provided better support and features. I had used Campaigner for Email Marketing campaigns before. While it's easy to use and set up, it has limited features. One of its best features is the workflow for sending automated emails. It also allows for easy creation of segments for more targeted emails. However, the customer service wasn't great and I sometimes had login issues. It also didn't function well in all browsers. The price is relatively high compared to other similar tools. The vendor responded to my feedback, thanked me for it, and assured me that many of the issues I raised have been addressed. They also expressed their willingness to have me back if I ever wish to use Campaigner again.

Steep Learning Curve, Yet a Powerful Tool

I use Campaigner for various tasks including direct marketing to customers, distributing information to vendors and other interested parties, and media outreach. I find it effective for all these tasks as it can handle them without interference. I appreciate its ease in managing lists, importing from other sources, handling unsubscribes and reporting. The customer support via chat and telephone is excellent. However, the WYSIWYG tool can be a bit frustrating as the interface sometimes makes editing difficult. I chose Campaigner mainly because we had accumulated years of contacts and lists in Contactology. When we revisited the service, we decided to stick with Campaigner. I have used other services and found Campaigner to be the best fit for our needs. We switched to Campaigner because Contactology was acquired by Campaigner/J2. I appreciate the vendor's response and their suggestion to try the new drag and drop editor.
