01 Is Infogram any Good? My expert Review

For approximately eight months, I have used Infogram to make visuals for client presentations and to use on social media, and the one feature that I thought really made this app stand out from other data visualization apps that I have tried is its ease of use in comparison to them.

With no prior knowledge of the app (I didn't watch any tutorials), I created my first interactive chart within minutes.

I truly think that the template library is outstanding. In fact, last month I had to show a group of stakeholders quarterly sales figures, and I was able to find a perfect dashboard template which I then customized with my brand colors and logo.

Another huge advantage of Infogram is being able to upload your data directly from Google Sheets; this is a major time-saver as the charts will always be up to date if you ever make changes to the sheet.

Although, I do feel that the free version is very limiting; I ran out of projects rather quickly, so I had to upgrade in order to keep going, and the price increase to move to the next level of service is way too high for occasional users, and also I have found that some of the more advanced interactive functions can slow things down while giving a presentation, especially if you have large amounts of data and over 2,000 rows.

Despite all of the limitations that I have found, I still use Infogram as my primary source to turn boring spreadsheets into fun and creative visual stories. I am very pleased with the export options as well; my clients are always impressed with the professional quality of my deliverables. Overall, I would say that this is an excellent investment for those who are regular content providers or marketers.

02 Pros and cons from reviewers

Access to over 550 pre-designed templates across various categories including social media graphics, reports, dashboards, and presentations, enabling quick content creation while maintaining professional quality

  • Real-Time Data Integration
Seamlessly connect and sync data from multiple sources like Google Sheets, Excel, and various APIs, ensuring your visualizations automatically update when source data changes without manual intervention

Features 35+ interactive chart types and detailed maps covering 190+ countries, providing diverse visualization options to effectively communicate complex data stories

  • Team Collaboration and Brand Consistency
Built-in collaboration tools allow multiple team members to work together efficiently while brand kit features ensure all created content maintains consistent colors, fonts, and logos across your organization

  • Intuitive Drag-and-Drop Interface
Infogram offers a user-friendly visual editor that allows users to create professional infographics, reports, and presentations without any design experience, making data visualization accessible to everyone

Cons from reviewers

  • Limited Free Plan Features
The free version of Infogram comes with significant restrictions including watermarked exports, limited template access, and reduced storage capacity which can be frustrating for users wanting to test the platform thoroughly before committing to a paid subscription

  • Steep Learning Curve for Advanced Features
While basic chart creation is straightforward, mastering the more sophisticated data visualization tools and interactive elements requires considerable time investment and can be overwhelming for beginners or occasional users

  • Export Format Limitations
Users on lower-tier plans face restrictions on export formats and resolution quality, with high-resolution PNG and PDF exports often reserved for premium subscribers, limiting the professional use of created infographics

  • Performance Issues with Large Datasets
The platform can experience lag and slow loading times when working with complex visualizations or large amounts of data, which impacts productivity and workflow efficiency for data-intensive projects

  • Pricing Structure for Teams
The cost can escalate quickly for teams and organizations needing multiple user seats, making Infogram relatively expensive compared to some competitors, especially for small businesses or startups with limited budgets
