01 Is Paperform any Good? My expert Review
Paperform has made an enormous difference with how I collect data for about eight months. I have used Paperform mostly as an onboarding tool for clients, and as an event registration tool. One of the first things I noticed when working with Paperform was that I could create a very nice intake form in less than twenty minutes without needing to know any coding. I found the interface to feel much like I am writing a document instead of creating a form, which really helped make everything very user-friendly.
Using Paperform for my consulting business, I created a comprehensive client questionnaire that has branching options depending on the responses provided by the client. For example, if someone chooses 'web site redesign', they will be able to view completely different questions then someone who chose 'brand strategy'. The fact that Paperform allows for this type of conditional logic has cut down the number of back and forth e-mails I had to send to my clients. I also greatly appreciate that Paperform is integrated with Stripe, so I can accept deposit payments through the form. This has greatly enhanced my ability to collect payments from my clients.
That being said, Paperform is not perfect. In comparison to other survey tools such as Typeform, I think Paperforms analytics are relatively simplistic. I would also love for Paperform to improve its mobile editor to allow for more advanced features while editing forms on your phone can be frustrating. Paperform has a fairly good price point, however, the cost does increase rather quickly once you move into the higher tiers of service. For example, if you are a solopreneur just getting started, it may be too expensive to upgrade to a tier level that meets all of your needs.
Overall, I believe Paperform provides a good balance between power and usability. It is powerful enough for large and complex workflow, yet it is easy to use and does not require an engineer to get the most out of the platform.
