01 Is Acuity Scheduling any Good? My expert Review
Since I have utilized Acuity Scheduling in a number of different industries, I can say for sure that it is a great and versatile tool. Its flexibility in implementing integrations with both Google Calendar and Squarespace is fantastic and eliminates a lot of difficulty in managing appointments. One instance of utilizing Acuity was with a life coach who was managing several calendars and a lot of different appointments - all the integrations they made scheduling appointments very easy and convenient.
One of my favorite features is the customizable scheduling links. This feature is a no-brainer for many companies looking to maintain some sort of brand consistency - much like the non-profit I worked with created their own specific links that aligned with their overall branding that allowed them to look more professional to clients while establishing trust. On the other hand, Acuity has some idiosyncrasies, namely the limited ability to visually customize your scheduling link which can feel restrictive especially when clients want eye-catching booking pages, explaining, people still miss the small time zone indicator and schedule chaos, and they'd be better off with it being more prominent!
Acuity has many features that I utilize and aside from those small issues, it is still my go-to as I find their software the most user-friendly compared to others. Acuity is just so practical in many features like having the ability to incorporate buffer times between meetings. Recently, I managed a busy consultant's calendar - who was always on the move - therefore buffer time was especially helpful being able to prep for meetings and travel time in between the meetings. Acuity really checks off most of the boxes for me, and with some improvements; especially around customizing your scheduling link and improving customer service and support, it would be possibly one of the best scheduling and appointment management tools for busy professionals.

I find Acuity Scheduling to be a comprehensive online scheduling tool. It's cross-platform and accessible from multiple devices, which is convenient for me when I'm on the go. I value the flexibility it offers through two-way synchronization with my Google Calendar. When a client books an appointment, it's automatically added to my Google Calendar and any dates I add to my main calendar are marked as "unavailable" on my schedule. However, I believe the landing page could be more user-friendly and intuitive. I also wish clients could add more than one email address on the booking page.

As a loyal customer, I've been using Acuity Scheduling for quite some time now and I must say, it's been a journey. I've noticed that the software no longer integrates with my phone and computer, which is a bit of a bummer. However, I'm optimistic that this is a temporary issue that will be resolved soon. One thing I've noticed is that their support system is primarily based on emails and a 'self-help' article database. While it might seem a bit challenging at first, I've found it to be a unique approach that encourages self-learning. It's a different experience, but it's definitely interesting and can be quite rewarding once you get the hang of it. So, despite the minor hiccups, I'm still a fan of Acuity Scheduling.
