The first thing I realized about using Notch was that it's designed for one specific use case: converting client-facing documents into an efficient, traceable process. Instead of sending each other PDFs by email, you create a "space" which can serve as a proposal, contract, or mini client portal , then share the space as a link.
The editor is by far the best part. It has a Notion-esque feel to it; instead of blocks based on paragraphs, they are blocks based on content. The editor allows you to insert all sorts of content including rich embeds. This will be especially helpful for consulting agencies; because you can put everything related to a project (scope, timeline, media, etc.) in one location, have your own branded template(s), and even host the documents on your own domain , which looks much more professional.
Execution is where Notch earns its name. Signatures happen directly in the browser, and I like that it emphasizes trust features like audit trails. Activity insights (views, interactions, comments, checked tasks) make follow-up less guesswork, and PDF export, with signed copies and a signature certificate, helps when you need a “final” artifact for compliance or record-keeping.
Where it can improve is depth and ecosystem maturity. If you need highly complex layouts or very specialized legal templates, you’ll likely want extra review and customization. Some teams will also find the integration footprint and admin controls less extensive than enterprise-first tools, and being web-based means you’re dependent on a solid connection.
Based on these factors, I would recommend Notch to client service teams that prefer speed, clarity, and a modern customer experience over heavy-duty document automation capabilities. If you are choosing between a "simple e-signature" tool and a "complete proposal suite", Notch falls squarely in the middle , particularly for teams that wish to accomplish signing, tracking, and requesting payments for work in a single step.
Unified document-action platform
Notch brings together document creation, signature collection, and payment processing, minimizing the need for external tools and keeping everything in one actionable workflow.
Custom branding options
Hosting on branded domains and using tailored templates allows organizations to consistently impress clients and reinforce their brand image with every document shared.
Industry-specific templates
The availability of a wide range of legally sound, proven templates optimizes document turnaround and aids compliance with industry standards.
Real-time engagement insights
Notification features give users instant visibility into document activity, allowing for timely follow-up and seamless client communication.
Responsive customer support
Onboarding tutorials, webinars, and dedicated support help users ramp up quickly and troubleshoot any questions, maximizing platform value right from the start.
General legal coverage
Pre-built templates aim for broad compliance, but users with highly specialized legal needs may still require review or customization from a legal professional for certain agreements.
Fewer granular editing options
Users accustomed to desktop-grade editing interfaces may notice less flexibility with complex layouts or niche formatting requirements in Notch documents.
Limited to actionable documents
The platform is built around contracts and offers; those needing general collaboration tools or document types outside its focus may find its features too specialized.
Dependency on web access
Notch operates as a web-based platform, so users require a stable internet connection for document creation and management, which may be a limitation in low-connectivity environments.
Early-stage ecosystem
Being a more recent entrant compared to established competitors, some integrations or enterprise-level features may still be in development or unavailable.

Useful for turning quotes and offers into trackable deal rooms, with engagement insights and CRM-friendly workflows that reduce email back-and-forth and shorten cycles.
Operations teams managing onboarding
A solid fit when you want a lightweight client portal feel, documents, resources, and action steps in one place, without deploying a full onboarding platform.

Best for organizations tired of static PDFs and separate e-sign tools, and who want editable, interactive documents plus signatures and downloadable signed PDFs.

Mobile Approvals That Keep Things Moving
The mobile-friendly workflow has been more useful than I expected since our managers approve orders when they are away from their desks, and that alone has sped things up

Notch is practical in the ways that matter: purchase requests are structured, approvals do not get buried in chat, and finance has a much easier time reconciling invoices against what was actually ordered
